Windmill pulls meeting transcripts (and, where the source provides them, notes or AI summaries) from your connected platforms. Each one attaches to matching 1:1s, feeds recaps and performance reviews, and is searchable by Windy.Documentation Index

Supported platforms
Windmill supports recordings from Zoom, Google Meet, Gong, Granola, and Roam.- All five sync hourly in the background — a meeting that ends at 10:00 AM typically appears in Windmill around 11:00 AM.
- Only transcripts (and, where the source provides them, notes or AI summaries) are stored in Windmill. Audio and video stay on the original platform.
- Every source begins syncing from the connection date forward. Granola is the only source that auto-backfills history — the last 90 days on connect.
- When a recording’s calendar event matches a 1:1 in Windmill, it appears on that 1:1 page automatically.
Per-platform details
Zoom — Cloud recordings from your connected account. Transcripts only. Google Meet — Native recording or Gemini Notes (with transcript enabled). Transcripts only. Note: “Also start a transcript” must be turned on in the Meet call for Windmill to receive anything. Gong — Public Gong calls only (private recordings are never imported). Transcripts plus AI summaries (short summary, key points, action items) when AI is enabled in Gong. Granola — Recordings you have access to in Granola. Notes and transcripts. Granola appears as a linked recording on the 1:1 page (clicking opens Granola); it does not auto-populate the shared 1:1 notes space. See the Granola integration for setup and Personal vs Enterprise API keys. Roam — Meeting recordings and transcripts plus chats from rooms and channels, alongside collaboration/presence signals.Access and permissions
Windmill mirrors the access controls of each source platform. Verified participants of a meeting can view the transcript on the 1:1. Managers with subtree visibility can view transcripts within their reporting chain when they also have access on the source platform. For Granola, visibility depends on the API key type; for Gong, only public calls are synced.Accessing meeting transcripts
- Within 1:1s — attached recordings show up on the 1:1 page once available.
- Through Windy — ask Windy in Slack about any recorded meeting (e.g. “Show me my last meeting with Jordan”) or to catch you up on past 1:1s and action items.
